ARPP TO CELEBRATE OKOWA'S SUCCESS IN SEPT.




In celebration of the success of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa government, Delta State Chapter of Association of Registered Political Parties (ARPP) is set to hold a three day seminar on the importance of fiscal prudence to good governance.
In a statement issued by the group's State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Iteveh Ekpokpobe, the celebration is geared towards celebrating Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the best governor in Nigeria for his efforts in promoting fiscal prudence and effective use of public funds.

Iteveh said the celebration which is slated for September, 2017 will feature a 1000 man match round the state capital, Asaba to the government house in declaration of 'No Vacancy in Government Come 2019'.

According to him, despite the trying economic times, the governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa still holds sway in dispensing the dividends of democracy to the people.

"The facts are glaring even to the blind, the development strides of the Senator Ifeanyi Okowa's government. There is no local government in Delta State that can not boast of a road or a touch of one project or the other. Suffice it that, the roads are very viable to the economic build of those communities."

"Beyond the road development story, Okowa's drive to eradicate unemployment in Delta State is even more sterling through his youth entrepreneurship programmes, and there is more."

"The ARPP is urging all well meaning Deltans and supporters of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to join this campaign under the leadership of Pastor David Ashikodi, to better show case the deeds of our most amiable and development oriented governor." Iteveh added.

Resumption Date For Primary And Secondary Schools In Delta State

  It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public, particularly Deltans that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has fixed Sunday, September 10, 2017, as the resumption date for pupils and students in public and private Primary and Secondary schools in the State for the 2017/2018 Academic Section. Academic activities begin on Monday September 11, 2017. Accordingly, the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has by this announcement advised parents and guardians to ensure that pupils and students return to school on the said date. It is stressed that students in boarding schools must return to school on Sunday September 10, 2017 as normal class activities will commence the next day. RIP KIDNAPPED DPO. HE FOUGHT FOR SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTIES OF NIGERIANS. A CREDIT TO HUMANITY

ASABA THE Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of the ‘C’ Division, Asaba, SP Valentine Mbalu has been reportedly killed by his abductors 12 days after he was taken hostage by suspected Fulani herdsmen between Ekwoma and Umunede along the Benin/Asaba/Onitsha expressway. Recall that the unsuspecting Police Officer was abducted at about 4pm on the 5th of this month on his way to Asaba after spending weekend with his family at Agbor. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the decomposing corpse of the DPO was found in Umunede bush yesterday. He disclosed that one of the suspected kidnappers, a native of Fulani who sells water Mellon at Abraka within the Asaba metropolis has been arrested. It would be recalled that the decomposing body of the king of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Edward Akaeze Ofulue III who was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen sometimes in January 2016 was also found in Umunede bush days after his abduction.
