LOCAL GOVERNMENT WORKERS WHO ARE TENANTS ARE BEING DRIVEN OUT FROM THEIR VARIOUS HOUSES BY THEIR LANDLORDS FOR INABILITY TO PAY RENTS WHILE OUR 25 LOCAL GOVT CHAIRMEN HAVE JUST RECEIVED OFFICIAL CARS FOR A COST OF 17M NAIRA EACH, (17×25=425 MILLION) WHEN THEY HAVE LESS THAN 3 MONTHS TO QUIT OFFICE.

Three persons were confirmed dead, many sustained severe  injuries and houses burnt in the renewed boundary crisis between Umunede and Akumazi kingdom in Ika North East Local Government of Delta State.   The people of the area while lamenting over the crisis appealed to the state government to quickly intervene and stop the boundary crisis between the two communities, which according to them had claimed so many lives and loss of properties.   A community leader who spoke with newsmen on the condition of anonymity stated that the renewed boundary crisis started July 1, 2015 and that they were now living in fear. Resumption Date For Primary And Secondary Schools In Delta State

  It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public, particularly Deltans that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has fixed Sunday, September 10, 2017, as the resumption date for pupils and students in public and private Primary and Secondary schools in the State for the 2017/2018 Academic Section. Academic activities begin on Monday September 11, 2017. Accordingly, the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has by this announcement advised parents and guardians to ensure that pupils and students return to school on the said date. It is stressed that students in boarding schools must return to school on Sunday September 10, 2017 as normal class activities will commence the next day. RIP KIDNAPPED DPO. HE FOUGHT FOR SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTIES OF NIGERIANS. A CREDIT TO HUMANITY

ASABA THE Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of the ‘C’ Division, Asaba, SP Valentine Mbalu has been reportedly killed by his abductors 12 days after he was taken hostage by suspected Fulani herdsmen between Ekwoma and Umunede along the Benin/Asaba/Onitsha expressway. Recall that the unsuspecting Police Officer was abducted at about 4pm on the 5th of this month on his way to Asaba after spending weekend with his family at Agbor. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the decomposing corpse of the DPO was found in Umunede bush yesterday. He disclosed that one of the suspected kidnappers, a native of Fulani who sells water Mellon at Abraka within the Asaba metropolis has been arrested. It would be recalled that the decomposing body of the king of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Edward Akaeze Ofulue III who was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen sometimes in January 2016 was also found in Umunede bush days after his abduction.
