FLAGNEWS- IKA SOUTH COUNCIL WORKERS KILL A MAN AT BUILDING SITE.

Last Saturday, a man whose name was given as Mr. Lucky Nwanki and popularly called VERSACE, was allegedly murdered by Ika south Council workers for refusing to pay an amount they charged him popularly referred to as "deve".
 The council workers who took laws into their hands by killing the man in his building site at Agbor, had escaped as at press time,  for fear of lynching.
 Attempt to reach the Ika south Council chairman Hon. Fred Ofume for further information and to hear his own side of the story, proved abortive. However, reliable source told FLAGNEWS NIGERIA, that the Council Chairman had expressed disapproval with the incident describing it as a ugly and unfortunate.
 Ofume, according to our source, said the council workers were not suppose to work on Saturdays and never were they told to kill any person.

Resumption Date For Primary And Secondary Schools In Delta State

  It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public, particularly Deltans that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has fixed Sunday, September 10, 2017, as the resumption date for pupils and students in public and private Primary and Secondary schools in the State for the 2017/2018 Academic Section. Academic activities begin on Monday September 11, 2017. Accordingly, the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has by this announcement advised parents and guardians to ensure that pupils and students return to school on the said date. It is stressed that students in boarding schools must return to school on Sunday September 10, 2017 as normal class activities will commence the next day. RIP KIDNAPPED DPO. HE FOUGHT FOR SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTIES OF NIGERIANS. A CREDIT TO HUMANITY

ASABA THE Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of the ‘C’ Division, Asaba, SP Valentine Mbalu has been reportedly killed by his abductors 12 days after he was taken hostage by suspected Fulani herdsmen between Ekwoma and Umunede along the Benin/Asaba/Onitsha expressway. Recall that the unsuspecting Police Officer was abducted at about 4pm on the 5th of this month on his way to Asaba after spending weekend with his family at Agbor. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the decomposing corpse of the DPO was found in Umunede bush yesterday. He disclosed that one of the suspected kidnappers, a native of Fulani who sells water Mellon at Abraka within the Asaba metropolis has been arrested. It would be recalled that the decomposing body of the king of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Edward Akaeze Ofulue III who was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen sometimes in January 2016 was also found in Umunede bush days after his abduction.
