Delta Assembly Suspends Member Over Alleged Misconduct

He who tries to bring others down must go down first.

The Delta State House of Assembly on Wednesday 27/9/17 suspended. the member representing Ughelli South State constituency, Hon Reuben Izeze for three months over alleged legislative misconduct.

The Majority Leader of the House, Hon Tim Owhefere moved the motion, seconded by Hon Pat Ajudua..

Owhefere said "consequent upon the erring member's attitude to bring the hallowed chamber to a disrepute, I hereby move that Hon. Rueben Izeze, Member representing Ughelli South Constituency be now suspended for a period of three months,”

The motion was adopted when put to a voice vote by the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori JP, MNIM

“ Hon. Rueben Izeze, Member representing Ughelli South Constituency is hereby suspended for a period of three months”, the Speaker,concluded at plenary.

Izeze was earlier suspended for three months for alleged legislative misconduct and was later recalled after being away for one month.
