PDP EXPELS IZEZE WHILE ON SUSPENSION BY ASSEMBLY.

The embattled member representing Ughelli South Constituency in the Delta State House Assembly, Mr. Reuben Izeze has been expelled from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for anti-party activities.

FLAGNEWS NIGERIA reliably gathered that Izeze, who is still serving his three-month suspension for misconduct at the state assembly, was expelled from the party by the Chief Kenneth Gbagi-controlled Ward executive of the PDP.

The meeting learnt to have been convened at the home of Gbagi, a former Minister of State for Education, accused the lawmaker among other things of sponsoring a candidate in the opposition All Progressives Congress APC, for the January Local Government Council elections in the state against the PDP.

It was gathered that Izeze who was the choice of Chief Gbagi and other leaders of the party in the constituency, fell apart following ongoing scheming by the former minister to send his son, Emuobo, to the Federal House of Representatives in 2019.

Izeze had also previously fallen apart with the former Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Amos Utuama.

At the Sunday’s meeting where the state lawmaker was expired at the instance of Gbagi, the leaders of the party in his Ward also vowed to commence a recall process on him.

A copy of the resolutions of the meeting, was titled; “Hon Reuben Izeze is expelled from PDP for anti party activity ward exco set to commence recall process.”

The letter of Izeze’s expulsion from the party was also unanimously agreed by 211 leaders of the Ward when it was put on vote while only 13 members voted against his expulsion.

“Today Sunday 22nd October, 2017, in a well attended Ward meeting it was unanimously decided that Hon Reuben Izeze be expelled from PDP for anti party activities as follows:

“1. He sponsored an APC candidate against the party interest. 2. Refusal to attend nor call ward meeting. 3. Refusal to site constituency project in the ward.

“4. He was involved in gun battle that rocked the Oginibo community. 5. Anti party activities which clearly showed that he is an APC man.”

The statement added, “The voice vote in support of the expulsion of  Izeze  was 211 while only 13 voted against the expulsion. The Ward maintained that there is no way they can allow Izeze in PDP while he continues recruiting people into APC.”
