OVER 3000 APC MEMBERS DECAMP TO PDP AS ALAN K BEGINS CAMPAIGN.

In preparation for the forth-coming Local Government Elections, the Ika North East Local Government Chairmanship Candidate and  flagbearer for the Peoples Democratic Party, Barr. Victor Ebonka (ALAN K), has began his Ward to Ward campaigns.

  The campaign train was at Idumu esah, Owa Oyibu and Alizomor respectively, to sell the party's manifestoes to the people. The six point agenda for sustainable development in consolidation of the SMART agenda of the Okowa administration which The PDP flagbearer listed, include

I. PEACE AND SECURITY.
II. YOUTH EMPOWERMENT/SUSTAINABLE WEALTH CREATION.
III. AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT/REFORMS.
IV. QUALITATIVE EDUCATION.
V. HEALTH.
VI. INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT.




As the campaign progresses, some APC supporters renounced membership of their party to join the PDP while declaring support for ALAN K.








The campaign train had the Member representing Ika North East Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Anthony Elekeokwuri, The Ika North East PDP chairman Chief Iremegbulem Ogadi, among others.

Resumption Date For Primary And Secondary Schools In Delta State

  It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public, particularly Deltans that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has fixed Sunday, September 10, 2017, as the resumption date for pupils and students in public and private Primary and Secondary schools in the State for the 2017/2018 Academic Section. Academic activities begin on Monday September 11, 2017. Accordingly, the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has by this announcement advised parents and guardians to ensure that pupils and students return to school on the said date. It is stressed that students in boarding schools must return to school on Sunday September 10, 2017 as normal class activities will commence the next day. RIP KIDNAPPED DPO. HE FOUGHT FOR SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTIES OF NIGERIANS. A CREDIT TO HUMANITY

ASABA THE Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of the ‘C’ Division, Asaba, SP Valentine Mbalu has been reportedly killed by his abductors 12 days after he was taken hostage by suspected Fulani herdsmen between Ekwoma and Umunede along the Benin/Asaba/Onitsha expressway. Recall that the unsuspecting Police Officer was abducted at about 4pm on the 5th of this month on his way to Asaba after spending weekend with his family at Agbor. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the decomposing corpse of the DPO was found in Umunede bush yesterday. He disclosed that one of the suspected kidnappers, a native of Fulani who sells water Mellon at Abraka within the Asaba metropolis has been arrested. It would be recalled that the decomposing body of the king of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Edward Akaeze Ofulue III who was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen sometimes in January 2016 was also found in Umunede bush days after his abduction.
