3 KILLED, HOUSES BURNT OVER UMUNEDE/AKUMAZI BOUNDARY DISPUTE

Three persons were confirmed dead, many sustained severe  injuries and houses burnt in the renewed boundary crisis between Umunede and Akumazi kingdom in Ika North East Local Government of Delta State.   The people of the area while lamenting over the crisis appealed to the state government to quickly intervene and stop the boundary crisis between the two communities, which according to them had claimed so many lives and loss of properties.   A community leader who spoke with newsmen on the condition of anonymity stated that the renewed boundary crisis started July 1, 2015 and that they were now living in fear. 25- YEAR- OLD MAN, LAWRENCE MOKWUME WANTED FOR HOMOSEXUALISM

A -25- year old man, Lawrence Mokwume, an indigene of Alidogwu, Igbogili, Abavo, in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State is currently on the run for the offence of homosexuality and has been declared wanted by the Nigerian Police to face the music. BOKO HARAM MASSACRE: CLERGIES, 50 FEARED DEAD IN BOMB ATTACK

Not a single one escaped,” said Muhtari Adamu, a trader near the scene. “We counted 56 dead bodies outside the church,” added Ali Marte, a vigilante supporting the security forces in the fight against Boko Haram, which has carried out repeated attacks in the region. Police confirmed that the church was hit by twin bombings, but gave a lower toll of about 50 dead, including the Senior Reverend and leaders. The elders and people of Abavo Community in Ika South East Local Government Area of Delta State, have bemoaned the incessant practice of gay relationship by the youths of the community, as the authorities of Delta State Police Command, has declared ‘wanted’, a 19 year old, Aghado Evans and his bi-sexual partner, Kelvin Ofunim for homosexuality, an offence which attracts 14years jail term. It should be noted that before this time, Aghado Evans had continued to engage his male friends in the evil act of homosexuality for his personal pleasure, in defiance of the traditional and legal implications. The abominable act of the duo was made known to the police by the elders of the community who lamented that Aghado has a paid a deaf ear to their counsels and demanded for justice to take its course.
