A BIRTHDAY NIGHT TO REMEMBER, AS HILLARY IBEGBULEM GETS HONOURED WITH A FOUNDATION.

Anyone who has ever had to think of a birthday gift knows just how tricky it could be to find something appropriate, but when it comes to Mr. Hillary Ibegbulem the principal secretary to governor Okowa, the answer is simple: whatever it is, just make sure it includes humanitarian philosophy or practice.

 Against this backdrop of Hillary's generic attitude of humanitarianism, a group under the aegis of the Committee of Friends, decided to honour the Lion as he is fondly called, with a Charity foundation titled HILARY IBEGBULEM FOUNDATION.
 The Committee of Friends were courageous and discreet enough to the extent of keeping the celebrant and guests in suspense as everyone present was itching to know what was in the offing before they finally unveiled the standing banner which had the inscription HILARY IBEGBULEM FOUNDATION amidst cheers and fireworks.

 Speaking on behalf of the group, the chairman barrister Victor Ebonka (ALAN K), remarked that they decided to honour the celebrant with the foundation based on his exemplary lifestyle of charity. He noted also, that the peculiarity of his lifestyle had earned him a lot of awards and titles by different organizations and peers, such as the "Lion" title. He stated that the foundation was geared towards institutionalising Hillary's astuteness and selfless services to humanity aimed at poverty alleviation, acts of love and charity to the downtrodden/less previleged. ALAN K did not fail to point out that the Committee of Friends was a non political and tribalistic organization. He further described Mr. Ibegbulem as a liberator and a man with a Lion's heart and excellent spirit.
 Shortly after his speech, he handed the microphone to the Chief Press Secretary to governor Okowa, Comr. Charles Aniagwu, who also extolled the celebrant for his generic virtues and for being a quintessence of love. The CPS announced the sum of Two Million naira also for the foundation while the affairs of unveiling the Foundation banner, was piloted by the Accountant-General of Delta state Mr. Cyril Agbele followed by fervent prayers  to God on behalf of Mr. Ibegbulem as led by the wife of the Accountant-General Mrs. Agbele.

 Guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner, hugs, well wishes and cheers abounded under the scintillating atmosphere and the presence of the top government functionaries, Captains of Industries, Royal fathers, political peers, notable amongst whom were the Members representing the Ughelli North constituency II in the Delta state House of Assembly Hon. Prince Eric Oharisi with his Ika north East counterpart, Hon. Tony Elekeokwuri ( the first lawmaker in the Delta sixth Assembly, to pass a private member Bill into Law) among others.

 Highlights of the birthday celebration included the cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrant flanked by friends, Awards and gifts presentation to the celebrant by various organizations and individuals. They prayed God to bless him with long life and abundant grace in Jesus name (Amen).

Resumption Date For Primary And Secondary Schools In Delta State

  It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public, particularly Deltans that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has fixed Sunday, September 10, 2017, as the resumption date for pupils and students in public and private Primary and Secondary schools in the State for the 2017/2018 Academic Section. Academic activities begin on Monday September 11, 2017. Accordingly, the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has by this announcement advised parents and guardians to ensure that pupils and students return to school on the said date. RIP KIDNAPPED DPO. HE FOUGHT FOR SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTIES OF NIGERIANS. A CREDIT TO HUMANITY

ASABA THE Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of the ‘C’ Division, Asaba, SP Valentine Mbalu has been reportedly killed by his abductors 12 days after he was taken hostage by suspected Fulani herdsmen between Ekwoma and Umunede along the Benin/Asaba/Onitsha expressway. Recall that the unsuspecting Police Officer was abducted at about 4pm on the 5th of this month on his way to Asaba after spending weekend with his family at Agbor. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the decomposing corpse of the DPO was found in Umunede bush yesterday. He disclosed that one of the suspected kidnappers, a native of Fulani who sells water Mellon at Abraka within the Asaba metropolis has been arrested. It would be recalled that the decomposing body of the king of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Edward Akaeze Ofulue III who was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen sometimes in January 2016 was also found in Umunede bush days after his abduction.
