OHARISI, OTHER MEMBERS OF DTHA COMMITTEE INSPECT ASABA STADIUM



The member representing the good people of Ughelli North constituency II, in the Delta state House of Assembly Hon. Prince Eric Oharisi, his Ika North East counterpart Hon. Tony Elekeokwuri, with other members of the House committee on Sports, under the leadership of the member representing Aniocha North constituency Engr. Emeka Nwaobi, today embarked on inspection of facilities in the Asaba township stadium as part of the committee's oversight function. This was as a result of the committee's resolve, to ensure that the stadium is well equipped with state of the Arts facilities in order to meet international standard in line with the SMART agenda of the Okowa administration.

The death of the National Assembly Clerk affirms the vanity of life as there was confusion at the National Assembly premises on Monday after Clerk to the House of Representatives Committee on Agricultural Production Services, Mohammed Shuaibu, slumped and died. It was gathered that the late Clerk drove himself to work on Monday, ahead of a scheduled meeting of the committee. The real cause of his sudden demise is still sketchy at the moment but sources said he complained of experiencing some discomfort before slumping. He was quickly rushed to the National Assembly Clinic for medical attention, but it was too late as doctors confirmed him dead on arrival. Confirming the incident, Director of Information and Publications at the National Assembly, Mr. Dibal Ishaku, said the real cause of his death was still unknown. “Yes, our colleague has died.
