AGBOR.
The Non Academic staff of the College of Education Agbor, has began a strike action over what they referred to as Okowa's inordinate deduction of their workers salaries, undue staff migration, among others.
Speaking with FLAGNEWS NIGERIA correspondent in Agbor, a non academic staff of the institution said,
Governor Okowa of Delta state.
" We have decided to embark on strike because Okowa has no conscience. Okowa is not being fair to us and other civil servants in Delta state. Can you imagine, He is deducting between 4000 to 9000 from our salaries every month for a program he called Health Welfare Scheme and we dont even know anything about the scheme neither have we benefited from it".
As at the time of filing this report, the offices of the Non Academic Staff of the college of Education Agbor, were all under lock and key while the students of the Staff Model Secondary school, an offshoot of the college, were still at home in line with the strike.
All attempts to reach the hierarchies of the Non Academic Staff Union of the school, remained abortive as at Press time.
