RAGING STORM IN ASABA AIRPORT, AS OKOWA STAGES WAR WITH OKPUNO.


Information reaching us from our very reliable sources in the Delta state government House, revealed that Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, has concluded plans to nail Uche Okpuno and also using the media, to attract the attention of  the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) when they start writing petitions against him.

FLAGNEWS NIGERIA also gathered that the governor was angry over ULO pullout from the Asaba Airport project, which caused him serious media embarrassment and has decided to stage media war against Okpunor, even though he had secretly concluded plans to shop for another contractor and push out ULO, before he got the surprise withdrawal.

Information available confirms that the Chief Press Secretary, Mr Charles Aniagwu, has been directed to make public, documents pertaining to how ULO defrauded the state under immediate past Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan and another N2.5 billion when he was sworn in two years ago.

FLAGNEWS NIG. reliable source also revealed that Okowa has directed the State House of Assembly to begin probe of all projects handled by the  ULO in the state, especially the Airport and Asaba Ughelli Dualization. They will be inviting him anytime in the full glare of the media where he will be embarrassed before the world.

Resumption Date For Primary And Secondary Schools In Delta State

  It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public, particularly Deltans that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has fixed Sunday, September 10, 2017, as the resumption date for pupils and students in public and private Primary and Secondary schools in the State for the 2017/2018 Academic Section. Academic activities begin on Monday September 11, 2017. Accordingly, the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has by this announcement advised parents and guardians to ensure that pupils and students return to school on the said date. It is stressed that students in boarding schools must return to school on Sunday September 10, 2017 as normal class activities will commence the next day. RIP KIDNAPPED DPO. HE FOUGHT FOR SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTIES OF NIGERIANS. A CREDIT TO HUMANITY

ASABA THE Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of the ‘C’ Division, Asaba, SP Valentine Mbalu has been reportedly killed by his abductors 12 days after he was taken hostage by suspected Fulani herdsmen between Ekwoma and Umunede along the Benin/Asaba/Onitsha expressway. Recall that the unsuspecting Police Officer was abducted at about 4pm on the 5th of this month on his way to Asaba after spending weekend with his family at Agbor. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the decomposing corpse of the DPO was found in Umunede bush yesterday. He disclosed that one of the suspected kidnappers, a native of Fulani who sells water Mellon at Abraka within the Asaba metropolis has been arrested. It would be recalled that the decomposing body of the king of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Edward Akaeze Ofulue III who was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen sometimes in January 2016 was also found in Umunede bush days after his abduction.
