OMG! See What Okowa And His Aides Did.

BY FLAGNEWS. IKA NORTH EAST. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, his principal Secretary, Mr. Hillary Ibegbulem and his Chief Press Secretary, Comr. Charles Aniagwu, have galvanized a stream of APC members into joining the PDP.   Receiving the decampees totalling about 6,500 (Six Thousand Five Hundred) hitherto APC members, including their leaders, yesterday at Ute in Ika North East LGA, governor Okowa expressed gladness, reassuring the decampees that they would be treated fairly adding that the PDP do not discriminate. Earlier, the leader of the decampees, Mr. Obiazikwor, stated that the defection was as a result of Okowa's enviable administration which had brought about even development across the state. Highlights of the ceremony were the Massive empowerment of party faithful, the burning of the APC symbolic brooms and membership cards by the decampees and also the presentation of the Council chairmanship hopeful for the forthcoming LGA elections.

Asaba Airport Contractor Spits Fire On Delta Lawmaker Over Alleged Bribery Scandal.

The Asaba airport contractor and Chairman of the ULO Consults, Mr. Uche Okpuno, has revealed the reason behind the anger of the Delta House of Assembly member and chairman, House committee on works, Evans Ivwurie.                                Okpuno Ivwurie   According to the contractor, " it was understandable that Ivwurie may have been angered after I refused to grant his request on November 4, this year, when he visited my residence in Asaba and made impossible demands that I should refund N7.4 billion collected for non completion of the Asaba airport project and the 46-kilometre Sector C section of the Asaba-Ughelli dualisation road project". NNPC Intensifies Efforts To Flood Market With Products

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has intensified efforts to flood the market with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise called petrol, and other products.  Already, six major marketers: Total, Forte Oil, Oando Plc, MRS, 11 Plc and Nipco Plc, are now loading products round the clock from their various depots in Lagos for onward trucking to all parts of the Country.  The supplies are mostly from Cargoes of PMS imported to by NNPC which are daily berthing and immediately being made to discharge their products to stem the supply hiccups.  The imported products are also being supplemented by supplies from the local refineries.  NNPC assures Nigerians to remain calm and not to engage in panic buying as the end of the challenge is nigh.  Marketers are strongly advised against hoarding as security agencies, working with industry regulators, would mete out appropriate sanctions to defaulters.  Earlier in the week, NNPC GMD, Dr. Maikanti Baru, had s...

OJOUGBOH, BODJU, MONI, OTHERS, RECEIVE MORE DECAMPEES FROM PDP TO APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC), has reaffirmed the party's resolve, to take over the Delta government House in 2019.  At the flag-off rally in Burutu Local Government Area, ahead of the Council elections slated for January 6, 2018, about five thousand members of the PDP were seen dumping their cards and raising their brooms.  Receiving the decampees, An APC stalwart and national leader, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh accompanied by the  APC chairman Delta Central, Olorogun Adelabu Bodju, chief Clement Moni and other APC party leaders,  stated that the PDP would suffer major setbacks in Burutu local government area and Delta state at large. The wife of the Delta state governor and founder "05 Initiative",   Dame Edith Okowa, has flagged off the Free Medical outreach tagged Healthier 2018, with a call on sinners to repent from their sins, look up to God and sin no more.  Okowa made the call at the Ogwashi Uku prisons, while flagging off the Free Medical Outreach organized by the Dr. Isioma Okobah Foundation in partnership with the 05 Initiative and Atlanta Medical Students Make a Difference tagged " HEALTHIER 2018".  Making reference to the holy bible, the governor's wife stated that all have sinned and gone short of the glory of God.
