OMG! See What Okowa And His Aides Did.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, his principal Secretary, Mr. Hillary Ibegbulem and his Chief Press Secretary, Comr. Charles Aniagwu, have galvanized a stream of APC members into joining the PDP.

  Receiving the decampees totalling about 6,500 (Six Thousand Five Hundred) hitherto APC members, including their leaders, yesterday at Ute in Ika North East LGA, governor Okowa expressed gladness, reassuring the decampees that they would be treated fairly adding that the PDP do not discriminate.


Earlier, the leader of the decampees, Mr. Obiazikwor, stated that the defection was as a result of Okowa's enviable administration which had brought about even development across the state.


Highlights of the ceremony were the Massive empowerment of party faithful, the burning of the APC symbolic brooms and membership cards by the decampees and also the presentation of the Council chairmanship hopeful for the forthcoming LGA elections.

Resumption Date For Primary And Secondary Schools In Delta State

  It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public, particularly Deltans that the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has fixed Sunday, September 10, 2017, as the resumption date for pupils and students in public and private Primary and Secondary schools in the State for the 2017/2018 Academic Section. Academic activities begin on Monday September 11, 2017. Accordingly, the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has by this announcement advised parents and guardians to ensure that pupils and students return to school on the said date. It is stressed that students in boarding schools must return to school on Sunday September 10, 2017 as normal class activities will commence the next day. RIP KIDNAPPED DPO. HE FOUGHT FOR SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTIES OF NIGERIANS. A CREDIT TO HUMANITY

ASABA THE Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of the ‘C’ Division, Asaba, SP Valentine Mbalu has been reportedly killed by his abductors 12 days after he was taken hostage by suspected Fulani herdsmen between Ekwoma and Umunede along the Benin/Asaba/Onitsha expressway. Recall that the unsuspecting Police Officer was abducted at about 4pm on the 5th of this month on his way to Asaba after spending weekend with his family at Agbor. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the decomposing corpse of the DPO was found in Umunede bush yesterday. He disclosed that one of the suspected kidnappers, a native of Fulani who sells water Mellon at Abraka within the Asaba metropolis has been arrested. It would be recalled that the decomposing body of the king of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Edward Akaeze Ofulue III who was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen sometimes in January 2016 was also found in Umunede bush days after his abduction.
